We are improving!

Hey folks,

this may seem like a softball blog but we have lost our camera for the time being and we dont have many pictures of our recent happenings. This last weekend we were in Minersville celebrating Revas' (Nanettes Grandmother) 90th birthday party with the whole Albrecht family. Other than that we got together with some friends of ours at The Blue Mountain Lodge for halloween. We had a great time with Jed and Annie and Jarvis and Mandy. We are excited to do it again. And now to what consumes most of our time: Softball. The OUTLAWS, our softball team made up of a bunch of young guys finally won a tournament. We won the second bracket at the St. George Halloween tourney. Softball is fun but it is really fun when you win. Pictured are:(back row, left to right) Jaden Jolley, Rulon Hancock, Bard Hancock, Mike Sanders, Jeff Cupfer, and Ryan Johnson. (Front Row, left to right) Shane Martin, Matt Hirschi, Jarvis Olsen, Dallin Staheli, and Kendall Staheli.

Well as you can tell Matt and I aren't the greatest at blogging. We are still trying to figure things out but we are doing our best for what we know. Nothing real crazy has happened with us lately, we are just taking one day at a time. We are staying busy working, playing softball (of course), and keeping up with our families. We are enjoying life! I love being married to Matt he is such a great husband, and my best friend. We have been married a whopping 91/2 months and still going strong. Marriage for us has been such a wonderful journey, we have had our ups and downs but each experience has brought us closer.

Matt had a softball tournament in Green River this last weekend. They took third place and they got some cool t-shirts and hats. We didn't get back from the tournament till 4:30 AM sunday, then we got up at 8:00 so we could make it to church by 9, needless to say we were extremely tired. Matt was so proud of himself for not falling asleep in church. : ) It was a great weekend!

The Shoe Swap Walk

We have a good explanation for this one, I promise! Last night Matt and I decided to get out and go for a walk, in our haste to leave I just slipped on the first pair of shoes I found. Well they weren't the best choice of shoes for a walk. About half way I started to get a blister on the one heel, but I still had to walk the rest of the way home. I walked a ways further but I couldn't stand it so I just took my shoe off and started to walk bare foot. But Matt being the gentlemen he is, decided he would give me his shoe I slipped it on, then handed him my shoe and surprisingly it fit. We walked the rest of the way home with one of his shoe on and one of mine. Aren't those the cutest shoes you've ever seen?!

Seems to be too close

Nanette and I went to a place called "the grove" in beaver the other night and got some "up close" pictures of the deer that call the the grove their residence. We got quite close and actually touched a few of them.

busy saturday

This saturday, dad, richard and i were able to get out and have a little fun after the morning work was done. We woke up early and hauled some hay we also cleaned up the yard at my dads rental house. Then Nanette and I decided to go out to the lake to get some sun for a short time.( Sorry our bodies are not quite in beach shape, thus explains the absence of pictures :) After we had had enough of the water and sand. Dad, Richard, Greg, and I went to the Sand Hollow Golf course we had a great time. It is a really nice course and it only costs $10. We played the walking nine that is designed after scottish links courses. The championship course is closed until August 28th when a celebrity pro-am tournament will be held. If you get the chance to get out there don't pass it up!

These here are some pictures of Matt and his "Outlaws" team playing in a tournament in St. George called the Heat Stroker. Matt has been playing lots of softball this year. He played in the Hurricane spring leauge, three weekend tournaments (two in St. George and one in Beaver), the annual fourth of july game (Hurricane vs La Verkin, which Hurricane won) and he has been playing in the Beaver mens league and coed league. I won't mention all the other tournaments still to come this year. (Pictured back left is Ian Silva and back right is Dallin Staheli)

Our Road Trip East

This is Nanette and I in Kirtland, Ohio at the church historic site....... it was a wonderful experience to be where the prophet Joseph Smith and the other great early leaders of the church once trod. The spirit was so great and the history is amazing. We both fell in love with the School of the Prophets!!!! The trip was very fun and well worth it.

This photo here was the front cover for Eastman's Bowhunting Journal. My brother Mike has been working very hard to harvest this buck. It was great to see him get recognized for his skills and acheivments. It is a pleasure to know such a man, nevertheless, to call him my brother and hunting partner!

Here we are riding our "Sweet Double Bike" We love to ride our bike in the evenings. But our favorite is a "Sunday Evening Ride"
