I have so much to write about I decided to do a couple of posts to get everything in. I'm not very experienced in the blogging area so I have to do mine as simple as possible. Sorry nothing fancy but at least I'm updating it, right? A lot has happend since the last time I posted, Ashlyn is growing like a weed and everyday brings something new. She is smiling a ton now. As soon as she wakes up that is the first thing she does is smile at me. Ashlyn is a big talker to, sometimes she will just sit there and carry on her own conversation I love to hear those little coos they make my heart melt. She also loves to suck on her hands, (I think I might have a thumb sucker : ( She always has one hand or the other in her mouth which makes me nervous because people are always touching her hands so I try to wipe them off as much as possible to keep her from getting sick. At her 2 month appointment she weighed 14.3 lbs and she was 24 inches long. Like I said she is growing fast!!!!!! I love her chubby cheeks, hands, legs, tummy, and i could go on and on. I am glad she is chubby to me that means she is healthy. She has had a lot of first recently, her first rodeo, peach days, road trip, and soon her first vacation. She also rolled over the first time by herself on sunday, well actually she rolled over at the Dr.s office. But she rolled over for the first time at our house sunday night. We were so excited I tried to get it on video but she wouldn't to it again. We are going to Disney land this weekend and staying a few days. I am really excited it will be so good to get away and have a little vacation. We are going with my work so we will have a few friends to hang out with.
Last week Ashlyn and I went up to my sister Natalie's and stayed a few days while Matt was in Chicago with his work. We had a great time. I'll admit I was a little nervous to drive that far with Ashlyn. That is the farthest she has ever been in a car and I was afraid to do it alone. But she slept most of the way up I only had to stop once to feed her. On the way home she slept the whole way. It was so nice to see my sister and her kids. They came to the blessing but had to leave right after so they didn't get to see her much. Unfortunately while I was up there I came down with a cold and I think Ashlyn got a little bit of one as well. I admire all of the single moms out there. It was hard to take care of her alone when I didn't feel good. My sister was a big help, but I came to appreciate all that Matt does around here. He is such a wonderful husband I don't know what I would do without him. Anyway that is the short version of what has happened the last little while.
I just put some fun pictures for everyone to see. The one with the curlers in her hair is my favorite. I was curious to see what her hair would look like after. It was ok but I think I need to spend a little more time putting the curlers in. lol

Blessing Day

Ashlyn was blessed on September 6th. Matt gave her the most wonderful blessing I have ever heard, he was a little nervous but you couldn't tell, he did such a great job. All of my family was able to make it to the blessing and most of Matt's. We really appreciate all of their love and support I don't know what we would do without our families. Aunt Paula and Aunt Vera were gracious enough to let us have the luncheon in their back yard. The day was beautiful and everything turned out so well. We want to thank everyone who came to support us and our new baby on her special day.

Well our baby girl is 1 week and 2 days old! I can't believe how fast time goes by! It has been quite an adjustment for Matt and I. But we wouldn't trade it for anything. She is the best thing that has happend to us. We love to just watch her sleep, since that is what she does most of the time right now. Ashlyn is such a good baby she doesn't fuss much unless she is hungry, which has been such a blessing. Matt is such a big help he is always willing to change her diaper or burp her or just hold her. He calls her his little bear cub : ) He is such a great daddy! It is a lot of fun being a mom, even though I feel overwhelmed at times she is worth every second. We can't get enough of her we take so many pictures these are just a few we have taken.

Ugh, so I am officially the most boring blogger ever. I tell myself every time I update that I'm going to do better and it never happens. So anyway here is my 3 month update. : ) We found out on March 10 that we are having a baby GIRL!!!!!!! We are so unbelievably excited. I was surprised, but even Matt was way excited when we heard the news. She is a very active baby, during the ultrasound she was moving all over the place, rolling and kicking, it was such a fun experience. I can feel her move a lot now, Matt has been able to feel her a couple times, but he's not very patient so if he doesn't feel her right away he gets frustrated and stops trying to feel her.
It is a little overwhelming to know that I am responsible for this little person and the things I do affect her. It is so amazing to me how I could love someone so much, and never have met her before. Matt agrees! All of the changes and struggles we have and are going through are all worth it. We are so excited for this new experience and this new little baby.
Matt and I are moving out of our town home into a little studio apartment, which will save us some money. I am not really excited to move again I hate packing and unpacking, it is the worst. But ya do what ya gotta do, right? Hopefully we will be moving by next week. The apartment is smaller but we don't use much of the room we have now so I'm pretty sure we can make it work. Matt and I are just working right now, trying to save some money. Matt is starting softball tomorrow. Spring has sprung and so has softball season. He is so excited to play. He has been really good to only agree to play on one league team this year, since he would have to miss work a lot to play on the other leagues. It will be fun to watch him play. Well not to much has happened the last little while hopefully it won't be two months before I blog again.

We are having a baby(if you havent heard)

Well, it is about time that we let everyone know about the best news that we recieved last year. We decided on waiting until christmas to tell our families and waiting until after our first doctors appointments to break the news to others. So for those of you finding out now, i guess you could say that we decided to wait until after our second doctors appointment. Matt would try to convince you that life doesnt get any better than this. He absolutely loved hearing the babys heartbeat he kept telling me it was one of the best days of his life. Hearing the heart beat helped things seam more real for both of us. On March 10 we will find out whether we will be having a boy or girl. We don't care what it is as long as it is healthy! We have been thinking of some fun names and are really excited to find out what it is so we can start narrowing down our names according to that gender. This news has definitely changed our lives. Some of the changes:Eating what seems like endless amounts of toast, Late night munchies, doctors appointments, chewing gum(for nausea), multiple back rubs, foot rubs, and many purchases of gold fish crackers. But for real it has changed us in so many ways, it has brought changes to our perspective on the future and what our plans are. Everything we do is affected by this news. We are very excited! It seems like time can't pass fast enough. We are thankful for this beautiful blessing in our lives.
